A Door in the Woods by James Dashner

Jimmy Fincher is a young boy from a small Southern town. He lived a normal and happy life, until one day while climbing a tree, he witnesses a man killing a woman, after which she disappears instantly into a hole to another world. However, the man sees him and he is thrust into an adventure where he will risk his own life to save the world from mysterious being known only as the Stompers. Although it seems to rush through the book at times, not giving very specific details, it is a very exciting and entertaining story that will engage the reader for hours
