Book Review
The Bourne Identity by Robert
Ludlum
While navigating through a storm, a fishing boat near Marseilles
recovers an unconscious man floating in the water with three bullet
wounds in his body. When the man wakes up, he remembers nothing of his
past, but with the help of a local doctor, he attempts to recover his
lost memory and create a new identity for himself. However, while
discovering the dark secrets of his past, he soon is thrust deep into
danger when for reasons unknown to him, he learns he is being hunted by
Carlos, the most deadly assassin in the world. He must now evade Carlos
and his subordinates and uncover the truth about his past life before
Carlos as well as his haunting fragments of memory destroy
him.
Ludlum does a superb job of combining intense action and mystery in
this thrilling novel. Although many teens would likely enjoy this
fantastic book, adults especially will love this excellent work of
fiction with its exciting and unexpected twists and turns throughout
the book.
