Langdon is an American symbologist on a trip to Paris to discuss a
manuscript with the Louvre operator Jacques Sauniere. However, the
night before they are to meet, Sauniere is found dead on the floor of
the Louvre along with the message “Find Robert Langdon.” Thinking
Robert to be the murderer, the police attempt to arrest and try him,
but with the help of Jacques’ granddaughter Sophie he escapes. Now he
and Sophie must decipher the puzzles found with Jacques‘ message to
prove Robert’s innocence and find the real murderer. This compelling
novel contains a plethora of exciting twists and turns, leading the
reader down many totally unexpected and astonishing paths. This
exciting book combines effectively the elements of mystery and
adventure to create a very enjoyable book.
