Dragon Slippers by Jessica Day George: Book Review
Dragon Slippers by Jessica Day
George
Creel's life was
happy. At least it used to be. She used to have parents but they both
died from sickness. Now it is her aunt's duty to take care of her and
her near poverty family. Unfortunately, her aunt does not always have
the best "Get Rich Quick" ideas. True, when her aunt suggested that
Creel be sacrificed to the local dragon it was in hopes that a great
knight would come, save her, marry her, and benefit the family greatly.
Yet Creel bravely talks her way out of the dragons clutches. And again
it is Creel who goes on her way to the King's Seat to seek her fortune
with only spare embroidery thread and a pair of strange slippers. But
even Creel would never have guessed the outcome of holding possession
of these strange shoes. What's so strange about the shoes? Read Dragon
Slippers to find out.
