Gregor the Overlander by Suzanne Collins:
Book Review
Gregor the Overlander by Suzanne Collins
What would it be like
to fall down a laundry chute? You would think you'd just land in a pile
of laundry at the bottom. But that's not what happens to Gregor. One
day while doing the laundry for his apartment in New York, the young
boy named Gregor falls down the laundry rooms chute and is plunged into
a strange underground world known as the Underland. While there he
meets many terrifying creatures such as giant cockroaches and bats, as
well as other humans who have prophesied that he will save them from
the kingdom of giant rats that are threatening to invade the human
territory. Although the book was written for younger teens and older
children, adults and kids alike will all enjoy this fantastic
work of art.
