Hatchet by Gary Paulsen: Book Review

Hatchet Hatchet by Gary Paulsen

This book is about a boy who goes to visit his dad in Canada. On the way there the plane crashes and all he has is a hatchet that his mom gave him before he left. I had  a lot of favorite parts from the book such as when the fool bird (that's what the boy calls them because they're stupid) blows up right in his face. That part made me laugh so much. Also, when he needed food so he went to the lake and used a bow and arrow. If you like things that are intense, you'll like this book.

Hatchet is about a boy named Brian Robeson who is visiting his father for the first time since his mom and dad's divorce. Before he leaves, all his mom gives him is a hatchet. While he is flying to his dad's house, the pilot has a heart-attack. The plane runs out of fuel and crashes down onto an island, where he has to find food, water, and has to learn by himself how to make weapons to catch things like rabbits, fish, and birds. I really like this book.
