The House of the Scorpion by Nancy Farmer
**Spoiler Alert**
A boy named Matt was a
clone, but at first no one could tell. He acted just like a normal boy.
But then he was taken to a big estate. There they looked at his feet
and it said who he belongs to. After that, everyone stayed away from
him and referred to him as the "filthy clone". But the person he was a
clone of was always kind to him. He helped Matt get through school and
survive his terrible life. But as Matt gets older he realizes that
clones have been used by others to prolong their life and now he's
wondering if that's his purpose in life. From people with computer
chips in their heads to friendly bodyguards, this is an awesome fantasy
book.
