I recently finished the Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien. It's about Frodo Baggins, a hobbit, who is given the extraordinary burden to take the Ring of Power to Mordor and destroy it in the fires of Mount Doom.

This books was so good. It is a little slow at the beginning, but once you get through that it is full of adventure and peril and danger at every turn. Don't just watch the movie and be through. There is so much stuff in the book that wasn't in the movie. For example, one of my favorite characters is a man named Tom Bombadil. He is a jolly old man who is Master of the Old Forest. He saves the hobbits from an evil willow tree and a barrow-wight. So, if you haven't read this book yet, you need to soon.
